Thank You Readers

Today marks a pretty decent moment in the blogging history of the Imperial Patrol. The blog is roughly 6 months old (dont count January, that post annoys me to this day because its one day away from being in February!) and I just thought it would be nice to thank the readers for giving me reason to post!

So lets go through some blog achievements in this 6 month anniversary (or close enough)!

Kill Team Comic Battle Report

I thought i would try do my first Comic Batrep today. Boy I under estimated how difficult it would be! So here is my first attempt!

The team has been sent to investigate some deadly plant life and prepare to have it removed for the coming garrison. Little did they know what they where in for...

WW1 Army WIP Part 2

Following on from Part 1 here my WW1 project is coming along slowly. Unfortunately my current living situation is not very good for painting. I'm hoping my next day off work is a sunny one so I can really knuckle down and get to work!

So far this is my basic test model.

A Great Painter Looking For Work

If you read my Battle Reports then these guys will be familiar to you. These are my Scottish Imperial Guardsmen. The person who painted these put a lot of effort into the detail and quality when painting them and boy it shows! The kilts vary in shading and pattern, some men have stubble and the hair has been done in varying shades as well. Truly amazing work right here.

The painter was Oliver Maclean and he is back in the commission business looking for some work!

More of his work can be seen below.

Corrupt Praetorians VS Eldar 7th Edition Battle Report

Orks are delayed again unfortunately so instead my Praetorians had to fight off more Eldar Punks. Except this time... this time... my Praetorians turned to Chaos for answers. Did they find the luck they needed to gain some victories? Lets see.

So its 1000 points and my list is similar to last time except I added a psyker. He had 3 serpents, 10 avengers (2 units), 10 guardians, farseer and wraith knight.

Now this is a fair warning. I forgot my camera, so you are about to be subjected to photos almost as shameful as my traitorous tactics this game.

A prayer to the Gods of Chaos...

WW1 Imperial Guard Army - WIP

Given its been 100 years since the start of the Great War and the recent discovery of some great looking models I thought it would be a great time to start my next themed force. This army will be based off the French at Verdun with a Sci Fi twist added. So here is my inspiration and plan:

7th Edition Battle - Demon Incursion

The Ork Waagh stood up my forces the other night and we were greeted by Demonic beings instead. So as requested I have gone back to using the picture on turn by turn basis. As usual the game was 1000 points and the battle was in a lush but somewhat alien jungle. Anyway here is some fluff:

The Praetorian 3rd Fusiliers suddenly were ordered to halt on their way to Garrison post 1163A when the accompanying Astropath had a twisted fit on the ground. The Commander immediately ordered the company to hold a lose defensive formation. The Commissars arrived to put the unfortunate Astropath out of her misery when she screamed a warning in a voice so natural it put fear in the hearts of the men.

Seconds later otherworldly beings materialized  all around them and the 3rd Fusiliers training kicked in. They prepared to open fire...

Just a brief battle report today.

One last prayer before the Carnage...
