Taurox Wheel Kit!

Its been a while since my last post!

Shifting house currently and just waiting one week more for my internet to be online. But Victoria Miniatures has released the Taurox APC wheel kit finally and it looks pretty cool! So I thought I would share.

You can find this kit here.

What do you think? Honestly I think it makes the vehicle look great! I liked the tracks but now I think the wheels are a better design choice for sure.

Anyway thats all for my brief post. Expect more to come in the following week!

  1. Honestly the best conversion I have seen. Never liked a whole lot of the half track covnersions and a lot of the wheel kits just didn't fit right. This looks great though, nice find!

    1. I agree, full wheel is definitely the cooler conversion kit. Thanks for mate.

    2. Definitely make the taurox look a hundred times better. Makes it look like a proper apc in my books, just didn't like the tracked original and grumpy's right, the half track conversions didn't look much better.

    3. Yeah, just never saw a half track version that really worked. I was honestly fine with keeping them out of the box, but now that I have seen this, I may be converting my whole fleet. Damn you! :p

    4. I feel the same, I didnt mind it out of the box, but the more I look at the wheels the more I like it. To me the height of the wheels make it look more all terrain than the tracks did. I guess its just a bit more practical than the mini tracks. I might get me a set for my lowly Taurox. Which is my favourite 40k vehicle to be honest.

  2. I really like the way the kit looks, but feel they should have added some larger splash guards to fully enclose the wheels. I would have added some front armor plating to go down about 50% in front of the forward wheels and about 50% in the back. Kinda of give it some sort of front/back deflection of incoming shots to the wheels.

    1. Thats a good point, even with re-inflating super thick tires warfare is a dangerous place for tires. I guess this could be achieved by getting the tracks you took off and cutting it up a bit, but yea the kit, from a practical view point, should have this.

  3. That is sweet!!!! Love it! It certainly gives me reason to go and get a couple for my vet infantry squads escorting my armored company!

  6. Brilliant kit, thanks for making it. For those after skid plates and side guards, a bit of well cut plasticard should solve your problems. I'd love to see a spare tyre though.
